THE VALUE OF ROADMAP

RoadMap Brings Immediate Value to Your Prospects & Clients:
The Roadmap Tool takes both the report and recommendations from different assessments and allows advisors to add customized commentary and recommendations, combining the analytical power of the assessments with the knowledge and expertise of the advisor.
What is Roadmap?
The result is an actionable deliverable that is specific to the individual owner and sets up for a guided implementation. Roadmap is used by Advisors who are looking to increase the value of their engagements with deep data and an actionable task list. With Roadmap as part of your toolset, you will be working closely with business owners to generate a customized list of action items that combines the output of two different reports, the Discover and Protect reports. Below is a sample of some of the "Planning Goals" that can be edited.

Prior to RoadMap
The Roadmap Assessment addresses the current business stage, the owner planning goals, and most importantly includes an action plan for attaining those goals. In fact, the strength of this assessment is not what you do during the evaluation, but what you set up to do with the business owner after the engagement is finished.
Roadmap is a great opportunity to re-establish your relationship with the business owner as well as move your engagement forward. This is a chance to set up future planning engagements, establish regular check-in's, and determine when you will meet again.
It is recommended that before you run a Roadmap assessment with your client, that you run through the format and questions yourself.
Starting RoadMap
Roadmap is essential a tool used to combine the data that you have collected using the Discover and Protect Assessments. Roadmap allows the advisor and the business owner to review the value of the business and how it is compared to the business as an asset of the owner.
In order to complete a Roadmap Assessment, you need to have first completed both the Discover Assessment and the Protect Assessment with your business owner client.
Results of RoadMap
The results of roadmap are much different than our other assessment, Discover and Protect. Whereas these reports highlight specific areas of the business and use proprietary data to analyze statistics on the business, Roadmap offers more of an action plan. Roadmap is designed to help you and your client motivate and decide which direction to go - as well as determine how long it's going to take to get there.
The Assessment compiles a set of recommendations that are meant to be edited by the business owner and the advisor. These recommendations are actionable and focus on the business goals, owner risks, and red flags.

of the benefits of using RoadMap
-
RoadMap Gathers Data:
Roadmap data can reveal patterns and trends indicating where your business community is having difficulty. Using this data, you can leverage your expertise and resources relative to the needs you’ve uncovered. Focus your message and community outreach. Let them know you are aware of their difficulties and that you have the resources to help them.
-
RoadMap Creates Opportunities:
Roadmap highlights opportunities to improve areas of potential risk and makes a client’s company more sustainable and valuable. But it is the process that can be most rewarding. During the Discover Assessment you may find the client lacks knowledge around one of the Value Drivers, or how that Driver relates to their business. Not only does this speak to how they run their business, it also provides an opportunity for you to present your services at the exact time when they realize they need this help.
-
RoadMap Gives You a Reliable Common Framework:
Consider the impact of having all your prospects and clients measured using the same metrics. With little modification to your existing intake process, you can have a standard for how prospect/client businesses are measured, the results of those measurements, and how they compare to each other within the industry and across a host of like-businesses.

RoadMap Approaches Your Client Holistically:
When a potential client approaches you with a specific problem, you know from experience that it’s likely systemic. For example: If a client comes to you with a “Hair-on-Fire” emergency, your experience tells you that it’s probably not the only issue. The “fire” started somewhere, and it is probably burning something else. Addressing their specific problem is important to (a) help the client and (b) help you establish rapport with the client. Assess their primary issue and go through Discover. Once you address the client’s emergency, you will be able to return to the report and help them in other areas. You will have better long-term results with your clients because your initial interaction is designed to look at the client holistically. And, the knowledge you gain from doing this will assist when helping other clients facing similar issues.
Roadmap is fast and easy...
Using the results of both the Discover Assessment and the Protect Assessment you can quickly develop a plan that suits the business owners needs and creates positive engagements for the advisor.
